2pts Screenshot & Link- Discussion post includes a screenshot of your game and link to your game.

5pts Game- Game uses your own assets (character and platform). Character moves and jumps.

1pts Extra- An extra feature is included in the game.

2pts Text- The instructions and credits are written in complete sentences.

0. Profile Icon

Change your profile icon to your walking animation or collectable.

New Game

Create a new game.

2. Name & Save

Name your game with your last name AND the title of your game.

Save your work and save before you log off your computer.

Open Your Game

Use this button to open your saved games.

Advanced Option

Use this video series to make a more advanced (and more difficult) code for your platformer.

3. Upload Sprite

A. Hover over button

B. Click upload and upload your .gif file

C. Rename your character.

Remember

Every sprite and background has its own CODING and COSTUME tabs.

4. Create Levels (Platform)

A. Upload your platform

B. Change the name to "platform", this will be important when we code.

C. Each one of these frames (called costumes in scratch) will be a different level. Please name them starting with "level1"

D. Modify each level as needed.

5. Code Sprite

The following is all code located inside of the player character sprite.

A. For the following code select the character.

B. Then make sure you are in the CODE tab

8. Extras

To get full credit you will need to do SOMETHING extra. You will need to add one or more of the following music, sound effects, collectables, welcome screen, enemies, score counter, death counter, etc...

9. Share & Submit

A. Make sure your page says "Congratulations"

B. Write in COMPLETE SENTENECES how to play your game.

C. Write in COMPLETE SENTENCES about any extra features you have included in your game.

D. Copy your game link and add it to the discussion on canvas.
