Tips for Selecting A Reference Image

No grid lines... will be difficult to translate onto graph paper.

Image is too big... count the number of grid spaces on the worksheet.

Too many similar colors... you have a limited color palette. This image has too many variations of red.

Perfect! I have grid lines, the design will fit on the window, and the colors will work with the available color palette.

Keep in mind that there is a 2-inch gap between windows. Incorporate this into your design.

1pt Craftsmanship. Work shows good attention to detail. Squares are filled in cleanly.

1pt Filled - 85% or more of each page is filled with colored squares. White space can be no more than 15% of the total design.

1pt Basic - Design utilizes 1 panel (worksheet)

1pts Simple - Design utilizes 2 panels (worksheets)

1pt Advanced - Design utilizes 1 additional panel (worksheet)
